Adriana Lima Returned to the Runway Bump-First

First Rihanna. Then Shay Mitchell. Now Adriana Lima. If you're pregnant right now and you're not baring bump, are you even pregnant?

Adriana Lima, once a mainstay of the Victoria's Secret fashion show, returned to the runway on Tuesday, April 19, to walk in Alexander Wang's Fortune City show in Los Angeles. In a black dress with a cutout front, Lima echoed the recent trend of pregnant women baring their midriff.

However, instead of the fun/casual/funky style mother-to-be Rihanna has been rocking, this was a more dangerous/dark/sexy look. In addition to thigh-high black boots, Lima wore her hair slicked back and a dark gloss on her lips. It's giving Mother Vampire.

Lima announced earlier in the week that she is pregnant with a boy, posting a gender reveal to TikTok and Instagram. This is her first child with boyfriend Andre Lemmers; she shares two daughters with her ex-husband Marko Jarić, per People. The outlet also reports that models Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, and Amelia Gray Hamlin joined Lima in the show.

In March, Wang dressed Rihanna in the same boots and a matching jacket, a look the designer dubbed “leather mommy” on Instagram.

Lima first announced her pregnancy on TikTok in February, posting clips of her boyfriend playfully “scaring” her and her ultimate retaliatory prank: Surprise! Pregnant! She revealed that the baby is “coming fall 2022.” Just in time for the autumn fashions.

While he's been active in other ways, this marks the first runway show for Wang after a hiatus. The designer took a step back from the industry after allegations of inappropriate conduct were made against him in March 2021. While he denied the specific allegations, Wang eventually stated that his behavior could have been better, and promised to set a better example in the future.
